The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center

Cathy is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center. Cathy completes psychiatric assessments and prescribes medications. In addition, Cathy teaches nursing at Oregon Health and Sciences University. Cathy received her Masters of Science from Oregon Health Sciences University.

With more that 17 years experience as a psychiatric nurse, Cathy has committed her career to providing mental health education to clients, their families and the community. She believes in treating clients holistically, integrating physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Cathy works closely with clients, their therapists and primary health care providers to meet each client’s individual needs. She states, “While medications help to alleviate suffering, I believe that healing is achieved by clients themselves.”
