Dealing With Depression

Untreated anxiety often leads to depression. According to the World Health Organization; the economic and societal consequences of depression make it the fourth costliest disease in the world.   By 2030, it will leap to the number one position.   Depression breeds depression.   The longer it goes untreated the more difficult it is to treat.

Group Counseling

With that in mind, The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center is offering a psycho-educational group on the topics of anxiety and depression.   Areas covered are relaxation techniques, dealing with negative and intrusive thoughts, emotional regulation, communication skills, and problem solving.  You will learn practical skills for dealing with depression before or after it rears its ugly head.

The group will begin April 8th from 6:30pm-8:00pm and run for 8 consecutive weeks. The fee for each class is $15.00. If you are interested, please call Melissa at 503-253-0964 to register.
