“Shine the Light”
You can help provide vital mental health care for lower-income women and children by making a donation. Every dollar helps!
On September 28th NCC held their 23rd Annual Circle of Strength Women’s Fundraising Brunch event at Madeleine Hall. With 125 attendees, it was a wonderful Saturday filled with inspiration, conversation, raffle, and a delightful brunch (watch the entire program HERE).
As attendees sipped mimosas, they reviewed the fantastic raffle prizes, including a jar of cash, weekend at the coast, and fun excursions all over the area.
Nancie Potter, JD, LMFT, received the Compassionate Heart Award for her long dedication to NCC, as a therapist, board member, and tireless advocate (watch the presentation HERE).
As an agency highlight, three counselors spoke about working with children and the need in the community, as well as some of the positive and negative impacts of social media on mental health.
There was both laughter and tears as Molly, a client who had started at NCC as a middle school student, shared her mental health journey and her work to overcome addiction and the sudden onset of bipolar disorder (watch Molly’s talk HERE).
The goal was to raise $80,000 to cover the salary and benefits for our newest counselor, Isabelle Norconk. Isabelle was an intern last year and has since graduated from Lewis and Clark College as a Marriage and Family Therapist. We were delighted to offer her a permanent position on the team. We are just a few thousand dollars shy of that goal and we know we can meet, or even exceed! You can help by making a donation now.
With the support of our donors, we are able to continue to serve those who would otherwise have to go without counseling due to financial constraints.
