Laken Nelson, MA, QMHP, Professional Counselor Associate (She/Her) graduated from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling with a MA in Professional Mental Health Counseling. “I worked at the Lewis and Clark Community Counseling Center while finishing my degree and followed that with an internship at LifeWorks NW where I worked until I transitioned to NCC in January of 2023. I enjoy reading, spending time with loved ones and taking my dogs to the dog park.
I value the various identities people possess and wrap that into the way I approach therapy uniquely to each person. I specialize in working with adults (18+) who have experienced various degree’s of trauma, including but not limited to sexual, physical and psychological. Additionally, I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ folks and apply a sex positive lens on those who are looking to heal from sexual trauma or just take a deeper look inward and explore. I also work with couples looking to strengthen their communication and relationship or need a safe and neutral environment to work towards uncoupling.”
