Marchelle (she/her/hers) has been connected with The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center since 1999, in a variety of roles, including volunteer, committee member, office assistant, and counselor intern. She currently fills the positions of Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage Preparation Coordinator, and she is the EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) Chair. She brings with her a commitment and a passion for helping others.
Her degrees and certifications include: a Master of Art’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling, from George Fox University; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, from Washington State University; and Trauma Response Certification, from George Fox University. Marchelle is currently in the medical field as an Executive Assistant and is currently teaching Trauma classes, as an Adjunct Professor at George Fox University.
Marchelle partners with her clients to understand their needs and provide a safe, collaborative space, free of judgment, that honors clients’ goals, preferences, and traditions. Marchelle believes “as the client, this is your story, and I am here to listen and to help. I look forward to building relationships and helping you navigate life.” She is skilled in couples and individual counseling, and uses person-centered, CBT, and trauma-informed therapies. Marchelle is a practicing Catholic Christian and can offer faith-based counseling, upon request.
Marchelle is Native American, enjoys learning about and practicing her Native American customs, spending time with family, friends, and her four legged fur-baby, getting out into the sunshine and exploring pet-friendly places, sewing, reading, and doing volunteer work for local non-profit organizations that are close to her heart.
