Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Marita (she/her/hers) is a retired mental health clinician who practiced at NCC for seven years before moving to New York State. Prior to that, she worked in a variety of mental health settings including residential treatment for teenagers, a hospital clinic, and private practice focusing on play therapy with children. She has also taught children creative dramatics in studio and school settings and enjoyed her years engaging in outreach in rural parts of Oregon for environmental groups. Since retiring she has been able to return to acting with a local theater group and to her first love, singing. She’s an avid reader and enjoys exploring the neighborhood and state with her husband and dog, Maggie.
