When The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center was founded 30 years ago, therapy was done from borrowed rooms using second-hand furniture. Those humble beginnings were highlighted on July 19 with a published interview in the Global Sisters Report, a project of the National Catholic Reporter. Sr. Sarah Deeby and Sr. Barbara Kennedy talked about how things started and what’s changed in three decades of providing counseling, regardless of faith or finances (Sr. Lisa Sheridan, also a co-founder, now works in Omaha, Nebraska).
