Jordan Baughman, LPC

Jordan Baughman (she/they) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Jordan has five years of experience within community mental health working with adolescents, adults, and families. Jordan has experience and education working with LGBTQ+ populations, people with concerns around substance-use, and people experiencing serious or chronic illness. Jordan has lived experience as a person living with disability and being within the LGBTQ+ community, having personal awareness of the hardships those with these identities may face.

Jordan utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches to provide a tailored and responsive experience to folks seeking counseling. She particularly draws from Narrative Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Jordan believes that therapy is most effective when people are seen as complex, multifaceted individuals whose strengths, values, and lived experiences are honored and drawn upon to support change. Jordan often draws from harm-reduction approaches to prioritize the autonomy of those they work with and offer support to folks with various levels of readiness to change.

Outside of the counseling room, Jordan enjoys sewing and quilting, birdwatching, reading, and exploring wetlands.

Jordan offers therapy in English.
